This elite Sprint Run version of the YoJumbo boasts a blade crafted from CPM 15V, a remarkable material that offers the highest wear resistance of any cold-work tool steel available today. Containing almost 15 percent vanadium, its advanced alloy composition creates an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this translates to phenomenal cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco’s limited-edition CPM 15V knives are further enhanced by a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by acclaimed custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This Sprint Run expression of the YoJumbo faithfully includes all the signature aspects of this design, including a high-strength Compression Lock mechanism and a four-position pocket clip. To clearly distinguish it as a member of our CPM 15V family, it also features brown peel-ply-textured G-10 handle scales and Shawn Houston’s “Triple B†logo laser engraved on the reverse side of the hollow-ground blade.
