In that spirit, the Sage 5 Lightweight Salt proudly features a blade crafted from CPM MagnaCut—a revolutionary particle metallurgy steel that offers an exceptional balance of edge retention, toughness, and the extreme corrosion resistance we require of our Salt Series knives. The full-flat-ground, PlainEdge blade is supported by a high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism housed within a lightweight, open-backed handle with fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales. Molded in a high-visibility yellow color, the scales feature a BiDirectional Texture™ pattern for a secure, non-slip grip and are home to a reversible, deep-pocket wire clip. Like all Salt Series folders, the clip, liners, and all handle hardware are also crafted from marine-grade materials.
