These handcuffs are blued using traditional bluing processes that gun makers have been using on gun barrels for decades. Black handcuffs are preferred in tactical situations day and night where users want their gear to be as non-reflective as possible. These handcuffs also use the slot lock double locking mechanism. To double lock these handcuffs insert the double lock pin on your handcuff key into the double lock slot and pull down towards the keyhole. MEETS NIJ STANDARD 0307.01
