Simply put, the blade will take and hold a superior edge while resisting corrosion for years of reliable use. The addition of a black, non-reflective diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating increases the blade's hardness and improves overall wear-resistance. A recessed push button opens and locks the knife within the flat of the handle, preventing accidental blade deployment. Right-handed users operate the button with thumbs, while left-handed users can trigger the button with their index fingers. An anodized aluminum handle keeps the knife lightweight and ensures a secure grip. Kershaw's Launch 6 can be transported easily with its reversible pocket clip, or the predrilled lanyard hole.
