The original Trapper owes its name to the trappers who roamed the forests of North America for hunting. The design of the knife dates back to the 19th century and is characterized by its slim lines and the characteristic upper and lower bolsters on the handle. Instead of a nail nick and a slipjoint, the Boker Plus Hidden Release Trapper as an automatic knife utilizes its matt stainless steel bolster to open and release the satin-finished D2 blade by simply sliding it upwards via the discreetly integrated bolster lock (US Design Patent by CobraTec). The industrial-looking design of the bolsters is reflected in the fine, non-slip texture of the hand-flattering handle scales made of black G10. This gives the knife a tidy look that is harmoniously rounded off by the deep-carry clip (tip-up/r). Classic can be this modern!
