The Smith & Wesson stainless steel handcuffs are made for users in punishing salt water or humid environments. Stainless steel does not rust, so these handcuffs offer corrosion protection without plating or bluing. Functionally these are the same as the model 100 handcuff. The model 103 handcuffs use the slot lock double locking mechanism, to double lock these handcuffs insert the double lock pin on your handcuff key into the double lock slot and pull down towards the keyhole. Double locking handcuffs makes them harder to shim, it also prevents the handcuffs from being further tightened. MEETS NIJ STANDARD 0307.01
